Clean & Sharpen your Pruners and get ready for Late winter pruning!
Pruning: Late Winter is the best time for pruning your trees and shrubs. Called “dormant pruning” in the northeast, it is pruning done in late winter, just before spring growth starts. In our area it is recommended from late November through mid-March. Here are some resources for getting started on pruning from the UConn Extension: https://news.extension.uconn.edu/2020/04/10/pruning-guide/
Before you get started, clean and sharpen your pruners for the best results: https://extension.unh.edu/blog/how-clean-and-sharpen-your-pruners.
